Supreme Master Ching Hai is a humanitarian who won the Gusi Peace Prize (the Asian equivalent of the Nobel Peace prize), as well as a poet, artist, environmentalist and spiritual teacher. She teaches a free method of meditation to contemplate on the inner light and sound called the Quan Yin Method and charges nothing for any meditation instruction. Quan Yin stands for the sound current. She promotes love and acceptance of all cultures and religions through her television channel which is available at www.suprememastertv.com. At this point in time she is very concerned about global warming, and there are many interviews with scientists on her station, which can be freely downloaded and viewed on demand. She has stated that the fastest way to halt global warming is for a widespread embrace of a vegan diet, since livestock are responsible for over 18% of global emissions and methane dissipates out of the atmosphere much more quickly than CO2. Her TV station is also available via free to air satellite in Africa at Intelsat 10 (68.5º E) KU-Band, Intelsat 10 (68.5º E) C-Band . It is also viewable in Northern Africa on this satellite: Hotbird 6 (13º E) .
