We have a lovely old labrador named Boris. He is 12 now, but we acquired him when he was 2 at the RSPCA. He had been abandoned and was in a pretty bad way. One thing we discovered after about 6 months was that he just couldn't put on weight, so a vet put him on a rice diet. We discovered that we have a labrador that cannot eat red meat!! Anyway, maybe this would have been a cheaper way of purchasing rice at that time, rather than sharing our basmati with him.
