When I first read your descriptive comment about returning to the US..."it will be like slipping into a warm bath" (ie comforting & easy)..., I first thought you said, "It will be like slipping in the shower" (ie frightening & potentially deadly). ;-)
Fascinating how similar images can convey powerfully different perspectives.
